A false claim that Justin Bieber is dating 17-year-old singer-dancer Katherine Gazda is currently doing the rounds.
The “Dance Tonight” songstress, who trained as a ballet dancer in Canada, dismissed the story in tweets blasted on her social feed on Sunday.
Gazda has a point.
Britain’s Sunday Mirror – who previously brought the world the ‘Bieber as the reason behind Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom’s divorce’ non-story – is claiming Katherine and Justin met through mutual rapper friend Blake Kelly at the end of 2013, forming a serious relationship in less than a month.
With no physical evidence such as photographs of Katherine and one of the most followed celebrities of the day, and source quotes that sound like something put together by editorial, the UK outlet cites an ‘insider’ who tells us Bieber and Gazda discussed the idea of having children together.
Disturbingly for a major outlet, details in The Mirror’s story are either wrong or conveniently vague.
The newspaper writes, “Katherine posted a string of photographs of Bieber online on her Instagram page. They included images of the ‘Baby’ singer asleep.”
The paper continued:
“She added the captions ‘You’re my angel, who forgot how to fly’ and ‘Some things last forever.’ She deleted them after their latest row last week, but it is understood she hopes to patch things up with Bieber in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is currently in the studio.”
No snapshots of the missing social media were provided by the Mirror to explain how they saw the alleged lovey-dovey messages.
As for the Instagram picture of Bieber sleeping?
