Tanzanian star, Diamond Platnumz aka Chibu Dangote turns 27 today, Friday, October 2 and to celebrate the east African star, here are seven facts we bet you never knew about the ‘Nana’ star.

1.Diamond Platnumz was born Nasibu Abdul Juma on October 2, 1989.
2.Diamond is currently the highest selling Tanzanian artist of ringtones by mobile phone companies in 2013, as well as being among the artists earning the highest income in the African Great Lakes music industry.
3.On Thursday, August 6, 2015, Diamond announced through Instagram that he has welcomed his first child with Zari Hassan. The baby is named Princess Lattiffah.
4.In May 2014, Diamond Platnumz set a new record at the Tanzania Music Awards by winning in seven categories including Best Male Writer, Best Male Artist, Best Song Writer and Best Male Entertainer of the Year.
5.Diamond Platnumz performed at the Big Brother Africa 7 eviction show in May 2012.
6.Diamond Platnumz and his baby mama unveiled their daughter’s face for the very first time forty days after her birth by putting it on social media for everyone to see.
